The same weekend that Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot, casino billionaire Stephen A. Wynn wed British beauty Andrea Hissom in Las Vegas.

It was a lavish, million-dollar affair that took place over three days. The all-star guest list included Clint Eastwood as best man and an entertainment lineup including Garth Brooks and Lionel Ritchie.

The bride’s dress was reminiscent of the wedding gown worn by Kate Middleton. It features a long sleeve lace top and satin skirt adorned with a bow around the waist. She paired the dress with a white headpiece.

The weekend started off with a poolside “white” party on Friday where many celebrity guests were flown in.

On Saturday, April 30 the couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony at the Wynn Hotel, followed by a grand celebration in the Encore Ballroom planned by “High School Musical” director Kenny Ortega and shared by 500 of their closest friends.

The old-Hollywood-themed reception featured performances by Trisha Yearwood and Grey’s Anatomy star Sara Ramirez.

The next morning a farewell brunch was held before the couple departed for their working honeymoon in Los Angeles.

It’s official – Prince William and Kate Middleton are now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. A true fairy tale romance, the royal couple said their “I ‘dos” this morning as the world looked on.

William dressed in his military garb and Kate shined in a show-stopping Alexander McQueen gown designed by Sarah Burton. The classic long-sleeve gown featured an elegant lace appliqué bodice and a regal 9ft train. The dress was made with individual flowers hand-cut from lace and hand-engineered onto ivory silk tulle.

The bride was heavily involved in designing the dress – working closely with the designer to ensure it would be a combination of both the traditional and the modern, yet in keeping with the Alexander McQueen vision and attention to detail.

Her elbow-length veil was made of layers of soft, ivory silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers. Her something borrowed was a diamond ‘Halo’ tiara by Cartier – lent to her by the Queen. The couple couldn’t look more royal if they tried!

The bridal party included Prince Harry as his brother’s best man and Pippa Middleton as one of Kate’s bridesmaids.

They exchanged vows at Westminster Abby in London, the same place William’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth wed in 1947.

Last month the long awaited Vera Wang gowns finally arrived at David’s Bridal. As expected, the dresses did not disappoint. The collection is called White by Vera Wang, and the gowns are stunning, reasonably priced, and true to her main full-price bridal line which is obviously much more expensive.

Vera Wang has become the world’s most influential bridal fashion icon – a name synonymous with high-end bridal couture. Her empire was born out of frustration in finding the perfect wedding dress for her own wedding years ago. Today, she has outfitted numerous celebrity brides including Jessica Simpson, Ivanka Trump, and Chelsea Clinton.

When the designer announced last April that she would be partnering with David’s Bridal, the news caused quite a controversy. Would this begin the watering down of the Vera Wang brand? And how will affluent brides who were previously married in the designer couture feel? While the answers are left play out, everyday brides have much to be excited about.

“This collection embraces my true design aesthetic and through David’s Bridal, I look forward to sharing my creative vision with brides across the country,” says Vera Wang.

Sizes of the gowns will range from 0 to 14.  The collection features twelve styles priced between $600 and $1,400 in a palette of soft white, ivory, blush and champagne.

It was a sweet wedding for Thai actress Paula Taylor and her husband Edward Buttery who held their wedding celebrations just a few days before Christmas. Although the two were officially married earlier in Hong Kong, they chose to hold a formal wedding in Thailand on December 22, 2010. The beautiful wedding took place at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok with many guests from the Thai entertainment industry.

After secretly getting engaged over a year ago, Paula Taylor announced that she would marry her Edward Buttery, the Chinese-British heir to a Hong Kong based shipping business.

On December 9, 2010, they were legally married at the LFK Hotel in Hong Kong. They both signed their marriage certificate at the Hong Kong City Hall. The initial ceremony was celebrated quietly with only close friends and family members of the groom and bride. Among those in attendance were Janie Tienposuwan, Nana Raibeena, Ase Wang, VJ Woonsen, Janesuda Pantoe, and Petch Boonyapa Benjarongkul.

Shortly after the ceremony, Paula twittered “I am now officially MRS PAULA TAYLOR BUTTERY”.

I’m a huge fan of Asian celebrities – their weddings always seem to be so over-the-top and they aren’t shy in front of the press, either. I’m also in love with Paula’s makeup. The natural look is so simple and flattering on her, love it!

I’m not usually big into shopping, but I can’t resist a good sale either. When my girlfriend asked if I wanted to brave the craziness of Black Friday shopping, I must have given her an “Are you nuts?” look. She immediately replied, “Well, if we go early enough we should be able to avoid most of the traffic.” Hmm, getting up at 4 a.m. to be trampled at the mall isn’t exactly my idea of fun. But she and my MOH Berlin managed to convince me that the deals would be worth it. In all honesty, it wasn’t as bad as I expected. We arrived on site at 6 a.m. and began the scavenger hunt for the best accessories and shoes. I didn’t purchase anything wedding related, but I did pick up a few items that will surely come in handy around the holidays.
